Thank you for concidering to foster a Cal State Dog Rescue pet. The number of animals we can rescue is directly linked to the number of foster homes we have, so your willingness to open your home and heart to a CSDR dogs is creating the space for us to rescue another animal in need. Of course, we understand that fostering an animal is a big responsibility. If you have any problems at all, please let us know. We have lots of experience handling a variety of issues that arise when caring for a rescue pet, so it is likely we will be able to help you resolve any problems or concerns you have to your satisfaction. If not, we will happily take the dog or cat back into our care. You are never “stuck” with a foster pet.
Fostering consists of just a few days to 2 weeks at a time. Longer if the foster would like to keep the dog for an extended period of time until the dog is adopted.
Fosters can either come to our adoption event to pick up a dog to foster, or can be on stand-bye, for the rare occasions when we need a foster home for a dog that is being relinquished to Cal State Dog Rescue mid week.
